Terms of Use
Plain-English terms for how Word Puzzle Toolkit works and what we can and can't guarantee.
The service
Word Puzzle Toolkit is a free website offering word-puzzle helpers. There's no account, no payment, and no contractual relationship between us and you beyond the normal terms of accessing a public website.
Accuracy and completeness
The word lists behind the helpers are a general English dictionary (SCOWL) with frequency data layered on top (wordfreq). They are not a competitive word list. Results may include words a strict competitive judge would reject, and may miss words a strict judge would accept. Use the tools as a study aid — never as authoritative.
The Wordle helper is based on the original publicly-extracted game word pool, not the current live game's answer list. Results will not always match today's puzzle.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Results returned by the tools are a best effort — they may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.
No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site — including but not limited to lost games, wrong crossword answers, misspelt anagrams, or hurt Scrabble pride.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the site aggressively, don't try to overwhelm the server, and don't attempt to use automated tools to extract the underlying word data (all of which is available directly from the original sources — see Attributions).
Third-party content
This site bundles or references third-party data and libraries. Their respective licences apply — see Attributions for the list.
Changes
These terms may change as the site evolves. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page.
